The gift that keeps on giving

I caught the bug that my angelic little grandsons had. I think on old people anyone over 35, it must be a deadlier strain, because aside from an occassional shout of "I need a tissue!", they have been bouncing around like it's no big deal! I have felt it coming on since about Sunday, but at 1:00 this morning I woke up and thought I was going. to. die! Everything hurt on me. Even my hair hurt. Okay, maybe not my hair. But trying to swallow was ugly...no really, I watched myself in the mirror as I swallowed and I made the ugliest face. So it was easier to spit than swallow..real lady-like, I know. I went to the Urgent Care here in Gilbert, they were super nice and the Dr. gave me all the options and let me choose which course of action to take. I like that. I went with the 5 day Z pack. It should be called 5 day Gutt Bomb. I forgot how it makes my tummy feel like I've been kicked by a mule! But, I can tell I am turning the corner on this bug. By tomorrow I'll feel better and in a few days I'll be 100%!
The beautiful flowers my sweet husband sent to me in Arizona brightened my day!

Two little grandson's overheard on a Sunday morning, after church: Logan age 5: I'm your brother. You have a boogy, I need to get it for you! Landon age 3: Otay. Logan: I got him! Landon: Thanks LoLo.

Canyons aren't the only thing GRAND in AZ.

I get to spend some grandma time with these handsome little boys for a few days. Logan and Landon have been teaching me the names of fancy cars (boy are they smarties!). It has been fun! And hopefully we'll get to play with Elly and Owen and maybe even baby Emmett tomorrow.

Sock it to me!

I worry that I'm going blind. That, or we have way bad lighting in our home. I have done it before and I swore I wouldn't let it happen again...but last Sunday, to my horror, (cue psycho music) as my husband crossed his left calf over his right thigh, there they were....MISMATCHED SOCKS!!! So not only are they two different shades of blue...(he was wearing a gray suit and he thought they were black), one has a striped design on it and the other clearly has a plaid pattern!
I'm going to start a new line of clothing for old people Geriatric Garanimals.

Collagen injections?

Grandkids are always game for being silly! But this picture borders on being scary, doesn't it??
YIKES!
Coleman watching the game with his daddy. I loved having the kids here last weekend (although it was much too short of a visit) Coleman got to celebrate his birthday with us, and I got some much needed daughter-time and grandbaby-lovin' in. My sweet son-in-law came up and installed a new furnace for us. Holy Cow, what a difference this new one makes. The old one sounded like a 747 taking off in our garage! Thanks David!
We took a ride to Owen Beach where it was cold and windy. Then we drove thru the "enchanted forest", aka Point Defiance park, where grandpa and the kids got out of the car to feed the ducks. Hudson was asleep so Shannon and I stayed in the car and watched as they fed the ducks, geese, and various attack water fowl. It was hilarious watching them running from the birds!

Sweet and guileless

Little children have absolutely no hidden agenda's. My 7 year old granddaughter sent me this picture of "are family", which includes me and Ron and all her new cousins. Such a sweetheart. Thanks Ella!

A Spectacular Saturday

Why does my head look so enormous in this picture? -----> Eesh! Do I really have this big of a head??...anyway, The weather yesterday was magnificent. I could hardly believe it was February! (It is so bright out here that you can't tell my sweater is yellow and grey striped.) We drove down to Owen Beach at Point Defiance Park and walked around. When we have a beautiful day here in Washington, everyone really appreciates it!

Livin' on luv & catfood!

This is what a mid-morning bathroom conversation is like at our house. Me: "Honey, if I die before you, please don't marry just so you'll have someone to clip the hair outta your ears." >thinking for a minute< ..."On second thought, if you ARE going to marry someone after I'm gone, do it just so she'll clip the hair outta your ears." Him: "Don't worry dear, you're going to live to be 90, that means I'll be 95. So no woman is going to want to clip the ear hair out of a 95 year old man. Besides, by then, we'll be livin' on catfood". . ...YESSS! ....I'm tellin' ya, life is good, people!

Ron's next~Booyah!

When we go through different phases in our lives (marriage, babies, buying a first home, etc.) we usually do it at the same time our friends do. This is a new wave of phases in our life, and it's starting with Ladd Dooley's retirement.
Dawn & Don Koeple, Ron & Kathy Williams, Judey & Hal Hartzel
Ron, Bob, Hal and Don, got the band together to play at Ladd's party. They're pretty good!
My very handsome hubby Ron, Don, Ladd, Hal and Bob. What a fun bunch of guys! Even more fun was the "after party, party". When we went over to Hartzels. The guys, Ron, Hal and Bob had an impromptu jam session and we had great conversation. That was the best!
