I really want to tell you about my fabulous trip to Hawaii. But first I must tell you about my grandbabies coming to visit me in Washington. First 'Nessa and William came for a visit. William is a 27 pound ball of energy! It was really fun to have them here. We did some shopping and sightseeing. The Japanese L.O.V. E. little curly, blonde headed babies, and they were fascinated with Will at Pikes Market in Seattle. Grandpa Ron gave Will piggyback rides and read books and played drums with him. I let him have fun with potatoes from the pantry and the dust mops...that kid loves to push a mop around! I wish I had his energy. As soon as they were gone I missed them. The house was too quiet!
A few days later Shannon came up for a visit with Hudson. Hudson isn't as old as William and not nearly as mobile. It was so great to have them both here. Shannon taught me her recipe for cinnamon rolls. (delish!) and it made so many, that I had Ron take some to work. Needless to say, they were a big hit at his office! We also did some touristy things with Shannon & H. Shannon and I went exploring to some places that I hadn't been to before, including an antique shop where I purchased some old glass fishing floats, used on fisherman's nets long ago. Ron treated us like queens on Mother's Day...complete with crowns and a lovely dinner that he and Hudson prepared for us. It was so nice to have them here, I really wish everyone could live closer.

Hawaii 2011
I love Maui. It is my favorite island.
My sweetheart and I found these heart shaped
mounted them on a piece of grocery bag that I
moistened, crinkled and touched up with Distress Ink,
making it look like cork. I had this frame that I found
at Fred Meyer. It's one of those clearance items that
border on ugly, but it was so cheap that I couldn't pass it up.
I thought I'd paint it or cover it if I ever got around to using it,
but it worked out perfectly for this Maui momento project.
It didn't come with glass, (maybe that's why it was on clearance)
but I wouldn't have used the glass anyway. So there ya go!
Easy summer art, with great memories attatched!

Life is AwEsOmE!
This morning I made oatmeal, but my hubby was running a little late so he didn't have time to eat it. I really didn't want to just throw it out, so I went online to find a recipe for oatmeal bread. I love modern technology! I found one that sounded good and easy. I tweaked it a little, and it turned out pretty darn yummy! I used buttermilk instead of regular milk and I also used already cooked oatmeal which added to the moistness. Also, I threw in some chocolate chips because what isn't better with chocolate chips?? Now I'm waiting for the laundry to come out of the dryer and I'm listening to our new Mindy Gledhill CD. She is my new favorite artist. She has such a sweet lilt to her voice. If you haven't heard of her before, she is the background music in the Mormon Message with Stephanie (nieniedialogues.com) Nielson. This Sunday we leave for our honeymoon! I'm so excited! Twelve days in Hawaii with my sweet hubby! I am so blessed! Then when we come home, I will have my daughter-in-law and grandson William visiting (can't wait!) Then the following week I get my daughter and her youngest baby visiting (Yippee!). Yes, Life. Is. Awesome!!

Home again Home again, jiggity jig!
We spent last weekend in Utah. What a wonderful time we had seeing our kids and grandbabies! My sweet daughter and son-in-law put us up for the weekend with wonderful accommodations. Saturday we were able to see Sean and Nessa and sweet William when we all went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. *yum!* Sunday we woke up to a major snowstorm which caused us to be a little lazy and slow 15 minutes late to church. After, we skipped out on left church a little early so we could get down to Springville in time to have dinner with Ben and Erin and their boys. Erin made a fabulous creamy soup and homemade rolls. *delish!* Chris came over and it was great to see him as well!
It was fun to have Ella and Coleman wake us up each morning. On Monday, Ronbravely succumbed to the arm twisting volunteered to take Ella and Coleman to Barnes and Noble to "look" at books while Shannon, Hudson and I ran over to Target and spent a few minutes shopping and talking without being interrupted even once . Then we rescued picked up Grandpa Ron and the kids at Toys Are Everywhere Us. Ron and I bought a new rug for his office at Tai Pan for dirt cheap...now how to get it home?? We wrapped it up in bubble wrap and a couple cardboard boxes that were folded over, and checked it on the plane with our luggage. Slick! After all our flight delays and connecting flights, we made it home and in bed by 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. OIY! But it was all worth it! Good trip! Thanks Ron!
It was fun to have Ella and Coleman wake us up each morning. On Monday, Ron

Feeling more like home
It's starting to feel a little more like home here. Yesterday I found my way to my friends house, thanks to a little map my hubby drew up for me. Then I went exploring. I went to TJMaxx and made my first purchase for our home...two rugs for the master bathroom. The truck with my POD will be here on Monday. I hope the contents will be intact. I gave away alot of stuff and still the pod was packed full. It is rainy and windy outside today, but I am warm and toasty inside. We are in the process of making space for my stuff as well as shifting rooms around so I can re-do Rons office. Lot's to do before Monday. Talk later.

The BIG move!
We DiD it! We got married on Saturday! It was the most perfect day ever! My children (except Daniel) were there with my grandbabies. All of Ron's children were there, and all of his grandbabies. My siblings, Ron's siblings, and Ron's mama.... even several friends from out of town were there. The food was great, the decorations turned out well, and the ceremony was short and simple and perfect, performed by Bishop Ropelato. The best part is, I get to live with my best friend! Corny as it sounds, he makes me laugh (alot), he makes me feel beautiful, and smart and wanted. I am so in love with him!
I packed up my house and moved to the Pacific Northwest. Ill blog more later. Gotta go change the laundry.
